Pepper Experiment

This experiment includes water, food colouring (optional), (soap) and pepper. First, we filled the plate with water and added food colouring. The children then had to put the pepper by themselves into the water. We then added the soap and watched the pepper scatter outwards. The children understood the concept of floating as well as that some objects repell from one another. More importantly the children learnt to be independent by putting their own pepper!

Sports Day

The children and I went to the Cottonera Sports Complex for a very fun, energetic, sports day. The children were exposed to a number of circuits in which they could play. Each circuit was different and at times, they were challenging than the previous ones. Such circuits include throwing the bean bags in the air and catching them, using a parachute, using a trampoline and going under a tunnel. The children also had a mid-day break in the Sports Complex whilst they also had another break when we came back to school. The children where very exhausted at the end of the day that there were some children who even slept on the ride back home. All in all, it was a very fun day!

Visiting Ghar Dalam

Today, the children and I visited Ghar Dalam which is located in the outskirts of Birzebbuga. Ghar Dalam is a prehistoric site which provides ancient animal bones such as small-sized elephants and hippopotami. Please click here to find more information regarding the place.

The children had fun visiting such place as they were very interested to understand why we do not have such animals living here any more and how the animals now are formed into a bone. This intrigued the children as they were asking multiple and interesting questions. There were also a few of the children who were afraid going into a cave but the rest wanted to explore even further.
