Pepper Experiment
This experiment includes water, food colouring (optional), (soap) and pepper. First, we filled the plate with water and added food colouring. The children then had to put the pepper by themselves into the water. We then added the soap and watched the pepper scatter outwards. The children understood the concept of floating as well as that some objects repell from one another. More importantly the children learnt to be independent by putting their own pepper!

Sensory zip lock bags
The children used a kitchen utensil which is the rolling pin. They used such utensil to crash the biscuits .Some of the children also wanted to add paint and feel its texture through the zip lock bag. The children also noted that some of the biscuits crushed well whilst others did not. The children also felt the zip lock bags of their friends in order to compare and contrast. This activity mostly improved their fine motor skills along with learning about a new utensil that we find in the kitchen.
